Welcome to my site, your source for all things Ben. I’m an Oregonian by birth and a Texan by choice. I work in politics attempting to restore sanity to government by getting competent and passionate candidates elected and furthering their commonsense legislative agendas. I care about this country and strive in my work to help make it a better place in which to live.
I have worked in the public sector and the private sector; in the federal government, state government, corporate environments, and my family’s small business. When I was growing up, family discussions at the dinner table revolved around the dangers of excessive government regulations and how the free market could be unleashed to create jobs and renew our nation’s prosperity. I have lived in 7 cities, visited 40 states, and spent time in 16 countries. There is nothing more fascinating than studying American politics and foreign policy at a European university. This broad array of life and professional experiences gives me a unique perspective and approach when interfacing with elected officials, candidates, business-owners, and when developing policy.
I am currently based in Austin, TX and am always looking for my next adventure. I have managed several high-stakes campaigns in Texas and worked with some of the top elected officials, strategists, and consultants in the business. I also completed my obligatory stint in Washington, DC where I pursued my master’s degree in public policy while working full-time for one of the top conservative Members of Congress. Through my experiences, I have honed my skills in strategy and messaging, grassroots organization, coalition building, political communication, social media, policy development, and voter targeting, to name but a few.
While I call Texas home, I am an avid supporter of the Oregon Ducks, Portland Timbers, and Portland Trail Blazers. I am also a staunch advocate of the Harvard comma.
